About two weeks ago, my colleague-friend and I thought it was a good idea to try and catch a sunrise. We are still clearly reminiscing over the summer days and because we know sightings of the sun are few and far between from now, one last frolic and capture was certainly what we needed!
Waking up: we had high hopes of leaving at 5:30 and so I set a few alarms. You know? Those ones that we all need sometimes: 4:45. 4:50. 4:55. 5:00. 5:05. 5:10. Catch the drill? The intention was to wake up at 5:15 at the latest – what happened was that I was dancing to my alarm in my dream around 5:45 when suddenly I woke up!
Getting out the house: It was then a mad rush to get out of the house and we met at 6:00 am.
Mode of transportation: once you become a student in this part of Sweden, the quickest and cheapest way to get around is fondly known to me as ‘bike life’! Another option which isn’t as quick is your God-given mode of transportation- your feet. So off into the sunrise we rode.
Stop 1: Marshallen Sports Ground
Stop 2: DalaIven
Stop 3: Centrum
My quest for sunrises didn’t end there, mesmerized by the beauty and (the cold), I took my friend who missed the first adventure to catch her very first sunrise sighting two Saturdays ago.
Now, you tell me is there any wonder why I love sunrises so much?
Head to gallery to check out some of the images captured on both these days.
